With a lifespan of 8 years, the Lamaque mine, located just minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support its employees in their development.
As a Jumbo Development Miner, you will be responsible for the drilling of development ramps and/or galleries and/or sites.
Under the supervision of the mine supervisor, your essential duties will include:
- Performing pre-job checks, inspections, and scaling of work areas
- Daily inspection, maintenance, and operation of equipment used (e.g., JUMBO drill)
- Preparing and setting up the drill, then aligning it according to plans and specifications
- Performing drilling and final bolting in an efficient, safe, and compliant manner with plans and specifications
- Working proactively to suggest improvements related to assigned tasks, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
- Applying and complying with all applicable norms, regulations, standards, codes, and laws of Eldorado Gold and Quebec
- Performing any other tasks assigned by your supervisors.
Required Profile
- Possess a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience judged suitable for the position
- Have 4 years of relevant experience in similar roles
- Hold FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7
