Jumbo Development Miner

With an 8-year lifespan, the Lamaque mine, located just minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support employees in their development.

As a Jumbo Development Miner, you will be responsible for the development drilling of ramps and/or galleries and/or sites.

Under the supervision of the mine supervisor, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting pre-job checks, inspections, and scaling of work areas
• Daily inspection, maintenance, and operation of equipment (e.g., JUMBO drill)
• Preparing and setting up the drill, then aligning it according to plans and specifications
• Performing efficient, safe, and compliant drilling and final bolting
• Proactively working to improve tasks assigned, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Adhering to and respecting all applicable Eldorado Gold and Quebec regulations, standards, codes, and laws
• Performing any other tasks assigned by your supervisors.

Qualifications

• Possess a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience for the position
• Have 4 years of relevant experience in similar roles
• Hold FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7
