As a Drill and Blast Development Miner, you will be responsible for the ground support work by operating the mechanical drill rig.

Under the supervision of the mine supervisor, your essential duties will include:

  • Conducting pre-job inspections, ventilation, and scaling of work areas
  • Daily inspection, maintenance, and operation of equipment (e.g., drill rig)
  • Performing ground support work by drilling and rehabbing grid in galleries and sites, as per plans and estimates
  • Ensuring the supply of required materials, tools, and equipment at the start of each shift
  • Working proactively to suggest improvements related to assigned tasks, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
  • Adhering to and respecting all applicable Eldorado Gold and Quebec regulations, standards, codes, and laws
  • Performing any other tasks assigned by your supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Possess a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience for the position
  • Have 4 years of relevant experience in similar mechanized roles
  • Hold FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7
