With an 8-year lifespan, the Lamaque mine, located just minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support employees in their development.
As a Development Bolter Miner, you will be responsible for the ground support work by operating the mechanical bolter.
Under the supervision of the mine supervisor, your essential duties will include:
- Conducting pre-job checks, inspections, ventilation, and scaling of work areas
- Daily verification, inspection, and maintenance of equipment used (e.g., bolter)
- Performing ground support work by bolting wire mesh in galleries and sites and necessary rehabilitation, according to plans and estimates
- Ensuring the supply of required materials, tools, and equipment at the beginning of each work shift
- Working proactively to propose improvements related to assigned tasks, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
- Applying and complying with all applicable norms, regulations, standards, codes, and laws at Eldorado Gold and in Quebec
- Performing any other activities assigned by your supervisors.
Required Profile
- Possess a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience for the position
- Have 4 years of relevant experience in similar functions in a mechanized context
- Hold FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7
