The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Industrialization Project Manager to join our Pre-FAL Industrialization team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work within the Operational Excellence team.
You will be part of the Pre-FAL Industrialization team responsible for supporting the ramp-up and reducing the costs of Pre-FAL Mirabel. You will thus contribute to achieving Airbus Canada's top priorities and be surrounded by passionate and experienced people.
The team is organized to promote autonomous, cross-functional collaboration, supporting each other and learning collectively.
As an Industrialization Project Manager, your role will be to contribute to defining the A220 industrial strategy, deploying critical improvement projects, and supporting product development activities to identify and limit their impact on manufacturing.
Your challenges
- Define the evolution of our assembly lines and identify critical paths to optimize in order to meet the planned ramp-up;
- Act as a project manager in the execution of industrial transformations;
- Define the implementation strategy: content, scope, resources, timeline, costs, risks, quality management, communication and training;
- Plan activities and coordinate the work of involved resources, act as an interface between different stakeholders, manage customer expectations and change requests;
- Manage budgets and expenses;
- Prepare and present progress reports to the management committee;
- Develop an expanded understanding of risks and opportunities for the company related to proposed industrial changes;
- Contribute to the development of "business cases", whether they are of a technical nature or not;
- Act as a change leader;
- Plan, organize and facilitate multi-functional work workshops related to the establishment and maintenance of the best assembly strategy.
Your profile
- You hold a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or operations management (or have equivalent experience);
- You have at least 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in the implementation of industrial projects;
- You are familiar with the concept of critical paths;
- You demonstrate project management skills;
- You demonstrate a high level of leadership and diplomacy;
- You are autonomous, organized and able to set your priorities;
- You are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, and this, in French and English;
- You are able to adapt to an environment that is regularly subject to changes;
- You are proactive in defining your own objectives.
