*Under the authority of the CEO, the incumbent will support the company's day-to-day activities and operations, primarily in the areas of contractual, commercial law, and the prevention and resolution of disputes. The goal is to ensure the protection, legal prevention, and legal compliance of the company's operations and activities.*
Here’s What Your Future Role Might Look Like
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts and legal documents (berthing lease, partnership, consumer contract, supply contract, employment contract, etc.) and manage renewals;
- Assist other directors in all tasks or responsibilities related to projects and contracts and get involved in the management of development projects;
- Provide legal support to departments and render legal opinions on various issues related to the company's operations;
- Issue opinions on various aspects of applicable law and formulate recommendations to ensure the development and protection of the company;
- Carry out procedures related to the company's regulatory compliance and communicate with representatives of various government agencies;
- Represent the organization at committees, bodies, or organizations;
- Get involved in the prevention and resolution of disputes;
- Monitor cases entrusted to external lawyers;
- Provide ongoing training to staff on laws and regulations affecting the company's operations;
- Prepare legal documentation for compliance and present reports and presentations to company owners;
- Perform all other related legal tasks related to the company's activities.

Skills Sought
- University degree in law;
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar position;
- Significant experience in managing disputes in a corporate environment;
- Proficiency in both French and English, both orally and in writing.
