The Role

Under the responsibility of the Vice President - Finance and Administration, the Credit Director plays a key role in managing the financial risks related to the clients of the Cement division and the Materials division (Unibéton). He has the following responsibilities:

• Define the orientations and best practices in credit recovery;
• Ensure compliance with the credit department's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements;
• Supervise the credit team;
• Analyze account opening requests to determine and approve the credit limits for the Cement division;
• Prepare monthly credit reports and follow-up on indicators;
• Manage accounts receivable requiring special and specific treatments;
• Analyze special cases to present findings to the senior management;
• Supervise all activities related to guarantees, denunciations, and receipts for the Materials division;
• Collaborate with legal advisors for legal appeals (legal mortgages, notices, etc.);
• Collaborate with sales and billing teams for the divisions;
• Develop and implement mechanisms to optimize and automate business processes within the credit team.

Competencies and Requirements

• Have 5 years or more of experience in a similar position
• Have experience in the credit field within the construction industry (an asset)
• Hold a bachelor's degree in administration/accounting/finance (or related field)
• Possess an excellent level of bilingualism in French/English (written and spoken)
• Excellent mastery of Excel is an asset
• Mastery of accounting software is an asset
• Be an excellent communicator
• Have excellent analytical skills
• Be methodical, organized, and rigorous
