Production Director

To support its growth, Bibby Ste-Croix is adding a second Production Director position. We are looking for a mobilizing leader capable of taking charge of several strategic sectors of our foundry and contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.

In close collaboration with the production director responsible for the other sectors, you will be in charge of the performance of the sectors under your responsibility. Your role will be to ensure the achievement of objectives in terms of health and safety, quality, productivity, and profitability, while actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team development.

Your mission will be to

• Ensure the overall performance of the departments under your responsibility and track key indicators;
• Ensure the execution of the annual production plan to achieve objectives (safety, quality, delivery, costs, productivity);
• Optimize the use of human, material, and financial resources to ensure the efficiency of operations and the achievement of budgetary objectives;
• Supervise, develop, and support the team of supervisors under your responsibility;
• Manage and evaluate the personnel of your department, including performance management and employee development;
• Act as a leader in occupational health and safety and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations;
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and follow up on them;
• Standardize operational practices and document key processes;
• Propose new solutions to production problems and means to improve the efficiency of an operation;
• Prepare and support change management.

To join our team, you must have

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or equivalent;
• Demonstrated leadership in Health and Safety;
• At least eight (8) years of experience in management, particularly in a production management role in the syndicated manufacturing sector;
• Knowledge of foundry processes (an asset);
• Industrial data analysis and statistics skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage pressure and operational challenges;
• Proficiency in the Office suite;
• Proficiency in both French and English to collaborate with our teams and partners across our various sites.
