Our client, a well-established manufacturing company with nearly 300 employees in the Greater Lévis area, recognized for the quality and innovation of its high-end products, is currently seeking a Product Performance and Compliance Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Validate product performance by ensuring they were manufactured according to the recommendations of the R&D department.
  • Perform and document various internal tests.
  • Schedule and track the production of products for external testing, and organize their transportation to laboratories.
  • Analyze test results and propose improvements or correctives, as needed.
  • Update documentation with the obtained results.
  • Conduct regulatory surveillance to follow the evolution of industry standards and certifications (CSA, ASTM, ENERGY STAR, Building Code, etc.).
  • Verify the compliance of developed products with applicable standards.
  • Prepare products for external or internal audits.
  • Coordinate certification procedures with external laboratories.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate performance and compliance requirements from the early stages of development.
  • Write and update technical documentation related to product performance and certifications.
  • Manage engineering change requests, representing 25% to 50% of the workload.
  • Support customer requests related to test performance.

What we are looking for

  • Hold a technical diploma in mechanical engineering, architectural technology, or a related field.
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in performance validation, regulatory compliance, or a similar role.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of standards and regulations specific to the door and window industry (asset).
  • Analyze and interpret test data rigorously.
  • Master modeling and simulation tools (asset).
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and a strong attention to detail.
  • Work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Use tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or structural analysis software (asset).
  • Be familiar with ISO audit and certification processes or equivalents (asset).
