As Strategic Healthcare Partner Team Lead, Vaccines/Covid, you will lead the team of Senior Strategic Healthcare Partners (SSHPs), Vaccines and COVID. The SHP Team is part of the Vaccines and COVID Business and supports innovative healthcare system initiatives aligned to key business priorities. You will report directly to the Director, Pharmacy and Strategic Partnerships and work closely with Marketing, contributing to the overall strategy and vision of the Vaccines and COVID Business Unit.

The SHP Team aims to create a coordinated experience for targeted strategic accounts, including community care centers, vaccination centers, major retail pharmacies, as well as regional and national pharmacy associations, striving to improve the overall impact of our vaccines in the healthcare space. You will play a pivotal role in organizing, which includes leading the strategy and setting priorities for the SHP Team, ensuring that it focuses its efforts in the right direction, with a business mindset to meet the needs of the customers and patients under your responsibility. You will need to collaborate with several members of the organization's leadership, consult with them, and influence their decisions to ensure optimal deployment of the SHP Team to achieve expected results. As Team Lead, you will also play a significant role in shaping and promoting Pfizer's leadership in the digital health and pharmacy solutions space, through strategic optimization of digital solutions within the pharmaceutical ecosystem.

The SHP Team can collaborate on initiatives that address the needs of patients and healthcare providers served by healthcare facilities/systems in priority therapeutic areas, by sparking discussions, partnerships, co-creations, and quality improvement initiatives. The mindset of the SHP Team is driven by a customer-centric and collaborative and understanding of the healthcare space approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Marketing leadership team when SHP involvement is needed to address gaps in the patient and consumer journey in vaccination and COVID treatment
  • Develop innovative frameworks to optimize pharmacy digital solutions and the evolving digital ecosystem, to optimize touchpoints throughout the consumer journey
  • Act as a specialist in healthcare optimization frameworks and digital transformation solutions in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Adopt a medium and long-term view of Pfizer's activities, aligning with the overall organization to prioritize needs and support the three-year business plan with recommendations on brands (in launch and pre-launch) that the SHP Team will support throughout the business plan period
  • Oversee key initiatives to shape Pfizer's leadership in the pharmacy ecosystem
  • Lead, assist, and mentor SSHPs to ensure their responsibilities are clearly understood, facilitate liaison with Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs colleagues, and eliminate internal obstacles that may hinder their work
  • Ensure the development, tracking, and control of key indicators related to quality improvement projects that the SHP Team contributes to, to present key results to the leadership team
  • Incarnate Pfizer's values and ensure that the SHP Team adheres to Pfizer's compliance policies and procedures as well as Medicines Innovation Canada's code of ethics

Education

  • University degree in administration, pharmacy, sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industry Expertise

  • Significant commercial experience (in marketing or sales management), and excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the Canadian healthcare context
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical practice and applicable regulations
  • Experience working with stakeholders, organizations, or in Canadian and/or regional pharmaceutical environments
  • Knowledge of pharmacy digital solutions and the evolving digital ecosystem that supports pharmaceutical practice, an asset

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Proven experience in team management, whether direct or indirect/matrix leadership
  • Proven ability to mobilize and influence various stakeholders and to drive change
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and positive relationships to mobilize direct and interfunctional team members

  • *The base annual salary for this position ranges from $117,000 to $195,000.*
