Nursing Intervention in Medicine and Surgery II:

This course continues the learning of students in medicine-surgery within a hospital context and initiates them in maintaining and improving the health of individuals. The course addresses common health problems that affect homeostasis in adults. This course is structured around a central theme: taking care of others. This theme allows, from clinical situations, to address the notions of evaluation and analysis of the clinical situation, nursing interventions related to teaching and support, and interprofessional communication. It allows addressing clinical care situations of varying complexity that allow acquiring basic knowledge and skills in medical and surgical care for adults or hospitalized elderly individuals in medicine, active geriatrics, and surgery units from problems that fall within the domain of nursing care.

Required Qualifications

• The candidate must have a BAC in nursing sciences;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in clinical settings, mainly in medicine-surgery, pediatrics and perinatal, mental health, and gerontology;
• Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ;
• Have teaching experience.
