Responsibilities
During your first weeks, you will acquire the skills needed to develop and support a growing consumer goods business and enhance your current skills in delivering, selling, and marketing our products to a group of retailers. You will be responsible for managing all our activities with these clients, including:
- Developing relationships within our regional sales network, obtaining top-tier mentorship and support, and participating in career discussions with sales leadership members;
- Selling and serving our clients in accordance with our commercial agreements;
- Using sales forecasting tools to achieve consistent sales targets;
- Leveraging your entrepreneurial and physical muscles by merchandising our iconic brands in executing our promotional displays;
- Developing essential business skills.
Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained by working on the front lines. During the second half of the internship, you will lead a business project with the support of the regional leadership team. This project may include analyzing sales results, presenting recommendations, supporting strategic initiatives, or achieving team goals with our most important clients. Here are the key aspects of the assignment:
- Develop your leadership, management, and execution skills through on-the-job training;
- Support the optimization of promotional materials and find opportunities to improve in-store visibility;
- Contribute to the launch plans for innovations and their maintenance in the market;
- Use sales forecasting tools to analyze trends, risks, and goals;
- Prepare sector sales reports and highlight key business insights;
- Support the regional leadership team's projects related to client execution and priorities;
- Analyze business performance and present sales recommendations;
- Learn PepsiCo's approach to the united Canadian team, including marketing strategies, customer strategies, and brand portfolios;
- Contribute to market execution projects aimed at enhancing retail appeal;
- Participate in special projects that support team priorities and sales exposure.
Qualifications
- Have completed your second or third year in business administration or a related program;
- Have a valid G or Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record;
- Reliable and consistent access to a personal vehicle;
- Academic success with proven ability to undertake other projects simultaneously;
- Problem-solving skills with a positive attitude towards challenges;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably with colleagues at all levels of the organization, from frontline employees to directors;
- Independence and the ability to plan to achieve goals, set priorities, and manage a work schedule;
- Outstanding interns may be considered for other internships or full-time career opportunities within PepsiCo.
