We are looking for a Regional Sales Director – National Accounts, Restaurant Chains to manage a strategic portfolio and contribute to the development of new business opportunities across Canada.

Develop partnerships with major restaurant chains

In this role, you will be at the heart of business relationships with the headquarters of several well-known banners, including PFK, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, St-Hubert, Benny and Panera Bread. Your mandate will go far beyond maintaining existing accounts.

You will also be responsible for identifying new chains with high potential, developing relationships with their decision-makers, and creating sustainable partnerships to support the development of JULIEN in the Canadian market.

You will be called upon to understand the operational realities of your clients, their expansion plans, their standards, and their challenges in order to offer them solutions tailored to their needs.

Your role will combine business development, national account management, negotiation, commercial strategy, and client support.

Your role and impact – Shaping our future

  • Business development and major accounts: Identify, qualify, and convert new restaurant chains to develop the national accounts portfolio. Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, while consolidating durable relationships with existing clients and developing new strategic partnerships.
  • Market strategy and forecasting: Participate in the sales forecasting process and analyze growth opportunities, market trends, customer needs, and development priorities specific to the restaurant chain sector.
  • Vendor relationships and client advisory: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to understand their offerings, obtain the best possible commercial terms, and recommend solutions tailored to clients' needs, operational realities, and budgets.
  • Internal collaboration and project execution: Work closely with project management, estimation, design, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution, as well as rigorous project execution.
  • Product offering evolution and complementary opportunities: Develop a good understanding of JULIEN's custom technical solutions, relay market needs, and contribute to the evolution of the product and service offerings. Depending on the identified opportunities, also explore complementary tracks related to subcontracting or the manufacture of custom commercial kitchens.
  • Location and travel

The position covers the entire Canadian market. Occasional travel of approximately 10 to 15% is expected to meet with clients and partners, visit some projects, and participate in industry events.

What you bring

  • B2B sales expertise: Solid experience in business development, major account management, or sales management, ideally with restaurant chains, national accounts, or in a related sector.
  • Industry knowledge: Good understanding of centralized purchasing, franchise structures, and negotiation processes with headquarters and other key decision-makers.
  • Strategic market management: Excellent mastery of CRM tools and ability to analyze customer data, track performance indicators, and structure effective sales plans for the Canadian market.
  • Collaborative leadership: Solution-oriented approach and ability to mobilize internal teams around clients' needs, while acting as a credible business partner with high-level decision-makers.
  • Communication and negotiation: Excellent French and English, both spoken and written. Strong commercial negotiation, business relationship development, and presentation skills to strategic clients.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Distinctive asset: Knowledge or strong affinity with the restaurant sector, commercial kitchens, commercial equipment, or the manufacturing environment.
