Under the responsibility of the National Sales Manager, the Territory Manager is responsible for the promotion, strategic positioning and sustainable growth of Orimed Pharma's product sales to healthcare professionals, mainly psychiatrists and ophthalmologists. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the ascent of a Quebec-Canadian pharmaceutical company.
As a trusted commercial partner within the assigned territory, the Territory Manager is responsible for achieving annual sales targets through the development and implementation of a complete territorial business plan.
What you will do on a daily basis
- Develop, maintain and expand a strategic network of healthcare professionals and key actors within the assigned territory;
- Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of scientific data, therapeutic indicators and challenges related to clinical practice in order to conduct high-quality, evidence-based discussions;
- Identify, segment and prioritize key clients (Opinion Leaders, high-potential prescribers, decision-makers) based on the potential of the territory and strategic objectives;
- Develop, implement, track and continuously adapt a territorial business plan aligned with commercial objectives and strategic priorities;
- Implement approved promotional initiatives to optimize product performance and adaptation;
- Adopt a customer-centered approach that takes into account the needs of patients and real clinical practice;
- Effectively evolve within a complex healthcare environment, taking into account competitive dynamics, reimbursement frameworks, hospital systems and evolving technologies;
- Participate in clinical and strategic discussions related to patient prescription/care in order to strengthen the value proposition of promoted products;
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access) to ensure consistent and high-impact execution;
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, ethical standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Profile sought to succeed in this position
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, administration or any other relevant field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in the sale of specialized products;
- Established network or ability to build strong relationships with ophthalmologists, psychiatrists and/or rheumatologists;
- Solid knowledge of the therapeutic areas concerned, including clinical data, indications and competitive landscape;
- Good understanding of care pathways and the commercial dynamics of pharmaceutical products;
- Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills;
- Strong analytical, organizational and execution skills;
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite;
- Ability to work under pressure and regularly adapt to changes;
- Proven commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with regulations;
- Availability to work occasionally in the evening or on weekends and to travel if necessary (provincial and national level);
- Valid driver's license.
- It would be a real plus if you also possessed some of the following assets:
- Master's degree in sciences or management is considered an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
