Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Market Development, you are responsible for the entire marketing function for the Asset Management business sector of Desjardins. You act as the principal marketing leader and strategic partner to the Senior Vice Presidency of Asset Management. You are responsible for defining and driving the marketing vision for the Asset Management sector, ensuring alignment of marketing strategies and initiatives with business ambitions, member and client needs, and growth perspectives. You actively contribute to achieving business objectives and realizing sector strategic directions by leveraging all marketing levers. With your deep understanding of the industry, its clientele, and the competitive environment, you guide marketing strategies, illuminate business decisions, and act as a growth partner for this business sector. In collaboration with business partners, marketing, data, and analytics teams, you contribute to the evolution of offerings and go-to-market strategies to enhance commercial performance, support business development, and foster sustainable growth. More specifically, you will be tasked with:
- Acting as a strategic business partner and marketing leader for the Senior Vice Presidency of Asset Management to contribute to achieving its business ambitions and evolving strategic directions.
- Advising sector leaders by leveraging your understanding of markets, clientele, competition, and growth levers.
- Defining and guiding sector marketing strategies by translating business priorities, clientele needs, and marketing directions into integrated and value-creating initiatives.
- Influencing the evolution of offerings, services, journeys, tools, and advisory approaches by integrating member and client needs and market opportunities.
- Ensuring the integration and consistency of sector marketing strategies by considering interdependencies, Desjardins priorities, and sector business ambitions.
- Identifying and prioritizing growth and value creation levers to support achieving Asset Management business objectives.
- Exercising influential leadership with teams and partners to mobilize the expertise needed to achieve sector strategic priorities.
- Orchestrating the execution of the sector marketing plan in collaboration with marketing teams and business partners.
Key challenges of the role
- Acting as a marketing leader for the Senior Vice Presidency of Asset Management to support its business ambitions and align member and client needs, market opportunities, and marketing strategies.
- Increasing marketing's contribution to business growth, acquisition, loyalty, and value creation for members and clients.
- Influencing the evolution of offerings, journeys, and business strategies by integrating the voice of members and clients, market trends, and growth opportunities.
- Acting as a catalyst for transformation to accompany sector evolution and adapt to new market realities.
- Aligning Asset Management priorities with Desjardins directions in a context of multiple stakeholders and interdependencies.
- Increasing the use of data, strategic insights, and analytical capabilities to guide strategic decisions and optimize investments.
- Mobilizing and influencing high-level partners around common goals and shared business priorities.

What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or graduate-level training in administration, marketing, finance, or a related field
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in strategy, business development, strategic marketing, product management, or asset management roles
- Please note that other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered
- Experience acting as a strategic partner to executive leaders
- Experience influencing business directions or strategic decisions beyond marketing
- Experience in a transformation and complex ecosystem mobilization role
- Experience in a strategic business partnership role with executive-level leaders, including influencing business directions, strategic priorities, and growth strategies in a complex environment
- Demonstrated experience leading transformation initiatives and mobilizing multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment, fostering the evolution of business models, offerings, and customer experience
- Proficiency in French is required
- Advanced intermediate English proficiency due to the nature of tasks, work tools, or interactions with anglophone partners or members and clients
- Deep knowledge of the asset management sector, combined with a demonstrated ability to use data, customer insights, and market trends to identify and implement growth levers and business opportunities
