Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Market Development, you are responsible for the entire marketing function for the business sectors of the Desjardins Movement. You act as the principal marketing leader and strategic partner to the First Vice Presidency of Personal Insurance. You are responsible for defining and driving the marketing vision for the Personal Insurance sector, ensuring alignment of marketing strategies and initiatives with business ambitions, member and client needs, and growth opportunities. You actively contribute to achieving business objectives and realizing the sector's strategic directions by leveraging all marketing levers. With your deep understanding of the industry, its clientele, and the competitive environment, you guide marketing strategies, illuminate business decisions, and act as a growth partner for this business sector. In collaboration with business partners, marketing, data, and analytics teams, you contribute to the evolution of offerings and marketing strategies to enhance commercial performance, support business development, and foster sustainable growth. Specifically, you will be tasked with:

  • Acting as a strategic business partner and marketing leader for the First Vice Presidency of Personal Insurance to contribute to achieving its business ambitions and evolving its strategic directions.
  • Advising sector leaders by leveraging your understanding of markets, clientele, competition, and growth levers.
  • Defining and guiding sectorial marketing strategies by translating business priorities, clientele needs, and marketing orientations into integrated and value-creating initiatives.
  • Influencing the evolution of offerings, services, journeys, tools, and advisory approaches by integrating member and client needs and market opportunities.
  • Ensuring the integration and consistency of sectorial marketing strategies by considering interdependencies, Movement priorities, and the sector's business ambitions.
  • Identifying and prioritizing growth and value creation levers to support achieving the business objectives of Personal Insurance.
  • Exercising leadership and influence over teams and partners to mobilize the expertise needed to achieve the sector's strategic priorities.
  • Orchestrating the execution of the sectorial marketing plan in collaboration with marketing teams and business partners.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or a second-cycle degree in administration, marketing, finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in roles related to strategy, business development, strategic marketing, product management, or personal insurance
  • Please note that other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • Experience acting as a strategic partner to executive leaders
  • Experience influencing business orientations or strategic decisions beyond marketing
  • Experience in a transformation and complex ecosystem mobilization role
  • Experience in a strategic business partnership role with executive-level leaders, including influencing business orientations, strategic priorities, and growth strategies in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation initiatives and mobilizing multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment, fostering the evolution of business models, offerings, and customer experience
  • Proficiency in French is required
  • Advanced intermediate English proficiency due to the nature of tasks, work tools, or interactions with anglophone partners or members and clients
  • Deep knowledge of the personal insurance sector, combined with a demonstrated ability to use data, customer insights, and market trends to identify and implement growth levers and business opportunities
