A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a project manager, you take charge of all restoration projects, from launch to completion, with precision and determination. You assess losses, prepare detailed estimates, and manage budgets to ensure profitability and adherence to project timelines. You coordinate the work of teams, subcontractors, and resources, ensuring the progress of work while adhering to the strictest safety and quality standards. You are in direct contact with owners, experts, and insurers to establish trust, communicate clearly, and meet expectations. You anticipate potential issues, quickly resolve difficulties, and ensure work progresses without delays. You will also mentor junior project managers and supervisors, developing their skills and ensuring the consistency of all work you oversee. Every day, your leadership, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to excellence will result in exceptional outcomes for clients and your team.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager I or equivalent experience in the restoration or construction field
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of restoration and construction practices, safety regulations, and building codes
  • Experience in reading plans, preparing scopes of work, and negotiating with clients and claims experts
  • Strong communicator with solid organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, mobile applications, and Xactimate (Level 2 certification is a plus)
  • IICRC certifications: WRT and FSRT
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to participate in a rotating shift program
  • Ability to perform tasks that may include physical work, material handling, lifting, use of ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in confined spaces (attics, basements, and restrooms)
