Industrial Electrician Foreman

Deric is currently looking for an Industrial Electrician Foreman to join our team in Quebec!

Deric is a general contractor specializing in civil works, deep foundations, process mechanics, industrial and civil electricity, industrial maintenance, as well as instrumentation, control, and automation.

Our projects include, among others, the construction of water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants, civil works and infrastructure projects, formwork and concrete work projects, port installations, and various industrial projects.

Under the authority of the Industrial Electricity Supervisor, the foreman will primarily have the following responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling electrical work on the job site;
• Preparing a list of steps to follow, determining the need for labor, materials, and equipment;
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring the quality of their work;
• Collaborating with professionals, work supervisors, listening to their instructions and requests for changes;
• Actively participating in industrial electrical work in addition to management responsibilities;
• Managing work on time;
• Identifying and analyzing problems (troubleshooting);
• Implementing requested corrections by the project manager and professionals;
• Writing work reports;
• Approving workers' timesheets;
• All other related tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid CCQ Competency Certificate;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Must be able to travel outside the region occasionally;
• Good knowledge of the environment and industrial electricity will be perceived as an asset;
• Experience in a port environment will be perceived as an asset;
• Good ability to work under pressure;
• Good ability to adapt quickly;
• Knowledge of English (advanced level) will be considered an asset. Occasional use of English for exchanges with anglophone colleagues;
