The Account Director manages a portfolio of assigned accounts in the Eastern Quebec region. As the main point of contact for clients, this person provides exceptional service, develops lasting business relationships and offers tailored solutions to their needs. They also contribute to improving their clients' operations through tools, training and continuous support.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain profitable professional relationships with our clients, their management team and staff.
  • Regularly hold performance review meetings to identify opportunities in our clients' operations.
  • Help our clients improve their operations by developing a match plan and capitalizing on identified opportunities.
  • Provide personalized support and monitor transactions in concessions.
  • Deploy our sales development and training resources where they will have the most impact.
  • Organize individual or small group training sessions to ensure our clients stay informed about products, performance processes and sales techniques.
  • Help our dealers stay compliant with industry and current regulations.
  • Prospect for new clients.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional products from our range when they meet our clients' needs.
  • Network within the industry to seek new opportunities for First Canadian and stay up-to-date on current industry trends.
  • Complete administrative documents accurately and on time.
  • Employees can work remotely on a permanent or temporary basis.
  • The successful candidate will be required to assume other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in management or sales in the automotive, recreational vehicles or financial services sector is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the activities of a dealership is an asset.
  • A post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • The Insurance Brokerage Qualification Program (IBQP) designation is an asset.
  • The candidate must be familiar with the technologies used in the industry. They must have, among other things, experience with retail sales management systems and portals used in the industry, as well as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in French, with proven oral and written communication skills, is required.
  • Proficiency in English, with proven oral and written communication skills, is an asset.
  • Clean driving record, as well as a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Ability to travel daily from home to the office to meet with the dealership account manager and respond to client calls on the road.
  • The successful candidate will be required to travel frequently outside of the city and stay in hotels.
