The Position
The *Sales Associate* promotes merchandise and offers exceptional customer service, generates and processes sales, and is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the store.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service by creating a warm environment. This includes greeting, welcoming, and approaching each new customer and knowing the products well.
- Stay up-to-date on sales and promotions.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of merchandise displays and the store.
- Perform merchandise replenishment, monitor in-store stock, and process deliveries.
- Process purchases at the cash register.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Other tasks assigned by the management team.
Qualifications
- Retail sales or customer service experience, an asset
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work standing for long periods and climb a ladder
- Move, lift, and handle merchandise boxes and fixtures in the store (weights up to 30 lbs).
Availability Requirements
- Days, evenings, and weekends.
