Your mission:

As Chief Executive Officer, you will ensure strategic and operational leadership of the AMBQ by guiding all activities of the organization. You will oversee the sound management of human, financial, and material resources while ensuring a quality experience for members and partners of the Association.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with the board of directors to define and deploy the AMBQ's strategic vision, directions, and objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the strategic plan.
  • Conduct active market research on industry trends, regulatory issues, and development opportunities.
  • Recommend innovative initiatives that promote the growth and sustainability of the Association.
  • Represent the AMBQ to various partners and stakeholders.

Organizational Management

  • Support the board of directors in preparing and monitoring their work.
  • Prepare management reports and indicators for decision-making.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of mandates and directions adopted by the board of directors.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize administrative policies and procedures.
  • Supervise programs, activities, and services offered to members.

Financial Management

  • Ensure rigorous and proactive financial management of the organization.
  • Prepare budgets, track financial performance, and present results to the board of directors.
  • Identify and negotiate funding, partnership, and grant opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting and obligations.

Business Development, Communications, and Branding

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with microbreweries, partners, government agencies, and collaborators.
  • Increase the visibility and influence of the AMBQ at the provincial and national levels.
  • Oversee communication, marketing, and promotion initiatives.
  • Actively participate in the development of new services and opportunities for members.
  • Promote the interests of Quebec's craft brewery industry.

Human Resources Management

  • Recruit, mobilize, and support talent contributing to the organization's success.
  • Foster skill development and employee engagement.
  • Create a collaborative, inclusive, respectful, and high-performing work environment.
  • Support change and promote continuous improvement.
  • Desired Profile:

University degree in administration, communications, marketing, or a relevant field.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership or management role within an association, organization, or comparable entity.

Good knowledge of the microbrewery sector and related marketing challenges, an asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent French language skills, both oral and written.

Functional English.
