Aliments Sofina inc. is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Plant Director, the incumbent will ensure the performance of maintenance activities and oversee the maintenance team working different shifts to support plant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead employees in their team to achieve and exceed performance indicators for their sector.
  • Ensure effective maintenance management and actively contribute to the improvement and optimization of plant operations.
  • Maintain and improve the preventive maintenance system and spare parts inventory management.
  • Ensure rigorous tracking of critical equipment, efficiency, calibration, and installation, all while respecting regulatory requirements and expectations for OHS, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Control costs for their sector, comply with the HACCP program, and develop and maintain the skills of their team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance management in the food industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration).
  • Practical experience in process optimization and continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent knowledge of instrumentation and automation equipment (considerable assets).
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite) as well as maintenance tools (Preventive Maintenance Guide TI, Autocad, JDE) (considerable assets).
  • Results-oriented leadership and team coaching and mobilization focus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in an environment where urgency is required.
  • Experience in food transformation and knowledge of HACCP and SQF standards (considerable assets).
  • Bilingualism is required due to the nature of the tasks, work tools, and interactions with English-speaking partners.
