Tardif Metal, a subsidiary of Groupe SM Tardif, is looking for a Quality Manager for its plant located in Lac-Saint-Charles.

Here is the daily routine we offer you

• You will act as a team leader for quality inspectors by establishing priorities, assigning inspections, and ensuring daily follow-ups;
• You will ensure the rigorous and uniform application of policies, procedures, manufacturing methods, standards, and quality requirements;
• You will ensure that visual and dimensional inspections are carried out in accordance with plans, estimates, and acceptance criteria;
• You will train, support, and guide quality inspectors in the application of standards, plan reading, documentation, and decision-making;
• You will identify, document, and analyze non-conformities, then ensure their follow-up until complete resolution;
• You will coordinate with production teams the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, then verify their effectiveness;
• You will collaborate on the preparation and follow-up of internal, external, and customer audits.

Do you have the right profile?

• You hold a DEP in assembly-welding or have equivalent experience;
• You have five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in quality inspection in the field of metal structures, including experience in functional coordination or supervision;
• You are proficient in plan reading, welding symbols, inspection methods, and traceability requirements;
• You have good knowledge of ISO, Hydro-Québec, CSA W47.1, and CSA W59 standards (an asset);
• You are comfortable with computer tools, including Excel, Microsoft 365 suite, and SteelProject (an asset).
