Organization Description

Sentiers La Balade de Lévis is a non-profit organization whose mission is to make a variety of high-quality outdoor trails and nature activities accessible to as many people as possible. The activities offered by La Balade include hiking, trail running, and mountain biking in the summer. In winter, the activities are cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, and sledding.

Under the supervision of the general management, the person holding this position will coordinate daily and seasonal operations while actively participating in fieldwork. This role combines organization, maintenance, logistics, and support for teams to ensure a quality experience for users of Sentiers La Balade de Lévis.

We are looking for a versatile, resourceful person comfortable with manual and physical work. The ideal candidate enjoys working both outdoors and indoors, appreciates the diversity of tasks, and demonstrates autonomy, diligence, and a good team spirit. They have a strong interest in the outdoors and wish to contribute concretely to the maintenance, improvement, and proper functioning of the trails, buildings, and activities of the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in the maintenance and development of the park and trails
• Coordinate and participate in the daily and seasonal operations of the center (bike and ski shop, rentals, group reception, building maintenance, etc.)
• Support the coordination of field teams (seasonal employees, volunteers, etc.)
• Contribute to the management of equipment, tools, and machinery
• Participate in health and safety compliance
• Support the management in various operational tasks and special projects
• Collaborate on improving operational processes and practices
• Perform any other tasks related to the organization's mission

Requirements

• Relevant experience in field operations, maintenance, logistics, coordination, or a related field
• Good organizational and priority management skills
• Autonomy, diligence, sense of responsibility, and good team spirit
• Comfort with manual, physical, and outdoor work, both in summer and winter
• Valid driver's license

Assets

• Good physical fitness
• Interest in the outdoors, environment, and community
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite or project management tools
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Experience in mountain biking and/or snowmobile operation
• Knowledge of bicycle mechanics

Working Conditions

• Employment type: Full-time (maternity leave replacement - 1 year)
• Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed for operational requirements
• Salary: $25 to $30/hour based on experience
• Work location: Sentiers La Balade de Lévis, 705 rue du Moulin-Larochelle, Lévis
