Are you passionate about commercial analysis, retail, and marketing? Do you want to develop your expertise in category management, supplier negotiation, merchandising, and sales analysis within a growing Quebec company? Sprint Convenience Store is looking for a junior category manager to join its marketing team.
In this role, you will actively contribute to the development and performance of various product categories by collaborating with category managers, suppliers, and operational teams. This opportunity will allow you to develop your skills in commercial analysis, negotiation, merchandising, and supplier management within a leading Quebec company.
The F. Dufresne Group is a third-generation Quebec family business that operates a vast network of neighborhood stores under the Sprint Convenience Store banner across Quebec.

- Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
- Supporting category managers in the daily management of supplier files, inventories, and product assortments;
- Participating in the development and implementation of commercial strategies aimed at achieving sales, margin, and profitability goals;
- Analyzing sales results, margins, and promotional performance to identify improvement opportunities;
- Acting as a resource person for stores regarding pricing, products, and promotions;
- Participating in the development and updating of the network's planograms;
- Collaborating on the planning and deployment of marketing initiatives;
- Conducting competitive analyses and market studies;
- Contributing to various strategic projects and departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
- Desired profile:
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field;
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar or related role;
- Experience in retail or consumer goods (asset).
Skills
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to extract and analyze sales and stock data using business intelligence (BI, SAP, or equivalent) tools;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English**;
- Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
