The Saint-Sacrement Gardens, a private OBNL, is a residence for seniors located in the heart of Quebec. We are looking for a motivated person for a full-time cleaning position for the summer period.
Job Details:
Position: Housekeeping Attendant
- Environment: Residence for autonomous elderly people
- Schedule: 32 hours per week (4 days)
- Salary: Starting at $17/hour
- Location: Quebec City
- Day shift
Under the authority of the general management, the employee performs various cleaning tasks inside and outside the apartments, sometimes even outside the residence, to provide residents with a safe and pleasant environment.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Apartment Maintenance:
Clean the residents' apartments daily, including: the counter, sink, top of the refrigerator, stove and handles (kitchen); the entire bathroom; vacuuming and/or floor washing and dusting if surfaces are clear (living room and bedrooms).
Participate in preparing the apartments of new arrivals so that the accommodation is ready to move in upon arrival.
Common Area Maintenance:
Clean common areas according to established work plans (all entrances: windows, doors, carpets; all stairwells: steps and handrails; common bathrooms; all laundry rooms, etc.).
Manage recycling bins on the floors.
Other Responsibilities: Maintain your equipment.
Inform your supervisor if necessary of any anomalies observed in the apartments and common areas, as well as any difficulties residents have in their apartment.
Assist colleagues as needed in the execution of their tasks.
Be available for any other task at the request of the management.
Respect the time allocated for the maintenance of each apartment.
Requirements (Education and Experience)
High school diploma completed.
Six months of experience as a housekeeping attendant (an asset).
Functional knowledge of spoken and written French.
Skills and Personal Qualities
Ability to communicate and work in a team.
Good manual dexterity.
Concern for engagement and excellence, adaptability, flexibility and initiative.
Rigorous and professional treatment of confidential information, in compliance with the ethics code and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Patience and desire to work with the elderly.
Ability to face the constraints and difficulties of work.
Autonomy.
Working Conditions: Full-time position.
The schedule may be subject to change.
Probation period of 6 months.
Group insurance (after 6 months, shared 50/50) and RVER.
Meals provided during the work shift and free parking.
