We are seeking a

Technical Sales Engineer to support our

Fabrics \& Rolls business throughout Quebec and Eastern Canada , partnering closely with paper mills to identify opportunities for optimization, solve operational challenges, and build long-term customer relationships.

What You'll Do

As a trusted technical advisor, you'll work directly with paper mills to improve machine performance while helping customers achieve their production and reliability goals.

Customer Engagement \& Technical Sales

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with paper mill customers throughout Quebec and Eastern Canada
  • Identify opportunities for paper machine clothing, roll covers, bowed rolls, and related services
  • Conduct paper machine audits, service visits, and performance improvement studies
  • Support customers during shutdown inspections, troubleshooting activities, and optimization
  • projects

Optimization \& Performance Support

  • Perform paper machine optimization and press section studies, including Rezolve™ press optimization
  • Analyze machine performance utilizing proprietary diagnostic and modeling tools
  • Investigate operational challenges and recommend practical, value-driven solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve machine performance while minimizing risk and warranty exposure

Reporting \& Collaboration

  • Prepare professional reports, recommendations, and follow-up documentation
  • Maintain detailed customer and machine records, including PMC installations, roll history, and product performance data
  • Communicate customer activity, opportunities, and market intelligence to the Sales Manager
  • Provide forecasts and monthly territory updates highlighting key opportunities and priorities

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent industry experience
  • Hands-on experience within a paper mill environment (production, maintenance, reliability, process engineering, technical service, or technical sales)
  • Strong knowledge of paper machine clothing, rolls, press sections, or paper machine optimization
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in the field
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM/database systems
  • Ability to travel throughout Quebec and Eastern Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with paper machine clothing, rolls, or press optimization technologies
  • Background in technical sales, applications engineering, or field service
  • Experience supporting paper machine audits, shutdown inspections, and troubleshooting activities
  • Bilingual French and English communication skills are strongly preferred
