Description

As an Investment and Pricing Analyst, you contribute to the profitability, risk-return balance of products and services, the establishment of reserves, and the management of the company's investments. Your work serves decision-making and the analysis of problematic situations and business opportunities in connection with the company's investment files. More specifically, you will join the team responsible for ensuring the good financial performance of Desjardins Sécurité Financière (DSF) in terms of investments. You will work closely with different teams of investment experts and will be called upon to interact with a large number of stakeholders operating in various fields of expertise. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Collaborate with the investment, corporate actuarial, risk management, and business lines sectors on the various major investment-related files/processes of the insurer
  • Establish the economic assumptions used for the pricing of the insurer's products
  • Actively participate in the definition of specific investment strategies for products and surplus
  • Analyze and monitor the evolution of alternative investment acquisition, development, or disposal files
  • Define, follow, and review the elements of the dashboard and risk and performance indicators related to investments
  • Conduct a watch on the investment management practices of personal insurers and propose improvements inspired by the best practices observed
  • Contribute to the work required to achieve the insurer's decarbonation investment objectives.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, financial engineering, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in actuarial science or the investment field
  • Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in the management or follow-up of investments for a personal insurer
  • Holding one of the following professional titles or having an interest in completing: ASA/FSA, AICA/FICA, CFA, CERA
  • Knowledge of French required
