Project Manager - Construction (Quebec)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and follow up on tender calls for subcontracting lots;
• Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors;
• Prepare the project schedule with the superintendent;
• Update the schedule throughout the project;
• Develop the CNESST prevention program and follow it up on the site;
• Prepare and follow up on technical questions related to plans and estimates;
• Manage client payment requests and those of subcontractors;
• Manage and review workshop drawings and samples;
• Manage the follow-up of "Conflict Detection" when the project is done in BIM;
• Organize site meetings with subcontractors and the client;
• Manage client changes and subcontractor change requests;
• Follow up and manage deficiencies at the end of the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering, or any other combination of equivalent experience and education;
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience;
• Eligible to obtain a safety rating;
• Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (asset) or the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ) (asset);
• Computer skills: MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Excellent communication skills (French and English), both oral and written. English is necessary to communicate with different English-speaking partners.
