Located in Lévis, on the South Shore of Quebec, Ramp-Art is a Quebec-based company specializing in the manufacture and installation of glass and aluminum railings. With approximately 60 employees, the company is looking to hire a financial controller who will actively contribute to its management and financial activities.
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance of the parent company and sitting on the executive committee, the financial controller plays a key role in the financial management and strategic decision-making of the company.
Responsible for all financial activities of Ramp-Art, he ensures the reliability of financial information, the efficiency of processes, and the sound management of the organization's resources. He also oversees the governance of technological functions and contributes to the evolution of management systems and tools.
Financial and Strategic Leadership
In the course of his duties, the financial controller will:
- Coordinate all financial management activities of the company;
- Supervise the complete accounting cycle, including billing, vendor accounts, and payroll;
- Plan and manage cash flows, including approval of vendor accounts;
- Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance;
- Analyze monthly and annual financial statements and explain key discrepancies;
- Produce relevant management reports to support decision-making by the executive team;
- Optimize financial and operational processes to enhance their quality and efficiency, particularly by reducing closing delays;
- Implement, document, and follow up on internal controls;
- Prepare the required files for year-end verification and collaborate with external auditors;
- Stay informed about applicable tax rules and developments in the field.
- Information Technology and Governance
The financial controller will also contribute to the sound governance of information technology. In this capacity, he will:
- Supervise the company's infrastructure and main computer functions;
- Ensure that technological investments align with operational needs and business objectives;
- Support the modernization of systems and technological tools;
- Contribute to cybersecurity and business continuity initiatives;
- Participate in the establishment of technological priorities and data governance.
Desired Profile
- University degree in accounting;
- CPA professional designation considered an asset;
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position and/or in an accounting firm;
- Bilingual in French and English;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate financial information to non-specialist managers;
- Very good mastery of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel at an advanced level;
- Analytical mindset, rigor, autonomy, and sense of organization;
- Ability to work on both day-to-day operational issues and strategic projects.
