Here's what your daily routine would look like in our team!

The main and regular role of this position is to assist teaching staff in preparing, presenting, supervising, and evaluating laboratory work.

Under the responsibility of the deputy director of the pedagogical management service, the practical work technician:

• participates in the selection of specialized equipment, devices, tools, machines, and laboratory instruments, assembles them if necessary, ensures their proper functioning, and promotes rational use and adaptation to specific needs;
• studies the operation and use of equipment to improve its efficiency and adapt it to specific needs;
• sets up and dismantles learning laboratories appropriately while respecting teachers' equipment reservation lists;
• performs calibration, repair, and maintenance of equipment and materials in accordance with asepsis standards;
• keeps track and updates equipment reservation lists upon teachers' request for recurring training and maintains the reservation file;
• conducts equipment inventory;
• lends and collects equipment requested by teachers and students from other programs;
• assists and supervises students in applying care methods during designated laboratories;
• ensures the guidance of care methods through exercises and situations during free practices;
• prepares equipment and collaborates in the organization of its transport when training takes place outside;
• ensures the storage and classification of equipment in the laboratory and maintains hygiene, including washing used linens, cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing equipment;
• stays informed about different care methods, equipment, and materials used in emergency pre-hospital care companies in the region and plans their possible application in the laboratory;
• performs, as needed, the functions of demonstrator and tutor;
• completes, if necessary, any other related tasks.

Education

• Hold a College Diploma (DEC) or College Attestation (AEC) in Emergency Pre-Hospital Care or Ambulance Techniques, or a diploma whose equivalence is recognized.

• Knowledge related to the Emergency Pre-Hospital Care sector;
• Knowledge required for the maintenance and repair of specialized equipment in Emergency Pre-Hospital Care;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• The ability to work in a team;
• A strong sense of organization;
• Great autonomy;
• Rigor and meticulousness;
• Good mastery of written and spoken French;
