The Process Engineer acts as a technical expert to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of the refinery's facilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to optimize the performance of production units.
• Analyze operational parameters and recommend adjustments to improve performance, product quality, and energy efficiency.
• Conduct technical and process studies and analyses.
• Identify the causes of operational issues and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Produce material and energy balances and required process calculations.
• Prepare the necessary technical documentation for the implementation of projects and operational improvements.
• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of improvement, modification, or expansion projects for the facilities.
• Participate in unit performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use process simulation tools to evaluate different operational scenarios.
• Participate in risk analyses as well as process safety activities (HAZOP, What-if, MOC) and pre-operational checks.
• Provide technical support during shutdowns, start-ups, and operational events.
• Production Planning and Optimization Engineer

The Production Planning and Optimization Engineer contributes to maximizing the value of the refining operations by optimizing production plans, resource utilization, and overall process performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze operational and economic data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and recommend strategies to improve the profitability of operations.
• Participate in the development of short, medium, and long-term production plans.
• Collaborate closely with operations, logistics, procurement, maintenance, and marketing teams.
• Conduct performance studies and economic analyses.
• Develop tools and indicators to maximize operational efficiency.
• Participate in the evaluation of improvement and investment projects.
• Prepare profitability analyses and technical justification files.
• Contribute to the development of simulation and optimization models.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance the overall performance of the refinery.
• Environmental Engineer

The Environmental Engineer acts as an expert advisor to ensure regulatory compliance and support the refinery's environmental initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor the environmental compliance of operations.
• Participate in the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements.
• Conduct environmental studies, analyses, and reports.
• Collaborate with various teams to reduce the environmental impacts of activities.
• Participate in investigations and analyses related to environmental events.
• Develop and implement projects to improve environmental performance.
• Monitor atmospheric emissions, effluents, and waste management.
• Prepare technical documentation for regulatory agencies.
• Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and evaluations.
• Contribute to sustainable development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnological engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for writing engineering deliverables: reports, technical proposals, and job instructions.
• Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Show autonomy, judgment, and initiative.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Show leadership and be capable of influencing and mobilizing colleagues without hierarchical authority.
• Demonstrate excellent adaptability in an environment where priorities change rapidly.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Possess strong communication skills in French and English.
• Be known for your diligence, organizational skills, and results-oriented mindset.

• Hold a valid driver's license.

Assets

• Experience in heavy industry, petrochemical, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of industrial processes.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Project management experience.
