What to expect on a daily basis

  • Provide brokerage and consulting services, advise clients, and respond to ad hoc customer service requests
  • Observe and propose ways to improve client results, efficiency, and profitability
  • Manage client relationships with SMEs
  • Negotiate and maintain Aon service agreements with clients
  • Ensure client data hygiene by keeping Aon tools and systems up to date (Client Planner, Aon CRM, time entry, and other related systems)
  • Support the profit and loss (P&L) of the client portfolio and revenue allocation by client
  • Manage and develop relationships with local sales and service teams of partner insurers
  • Develop and maintain a high level of 'Aon IQ' to recognize cross-selling opportunities with other Aon solution lines
  • Build relationships with Canadian colleagues in the commercial risk, retirement and investment, and human capital sectors, as well as with American and international colleagues in the health and benefits sector, to generate new business opportunities for the Canadian SME benefits practice
  • Involve, as needed, leaders and colleagues from specialized business units to support client activities
  • Provide support to business developers for the acquisition of new Health Solutions clients
  • Support Aon colleagues in the United States and elsewhere in the world whose clients need Aon Canada – Health Solutions' support, expertise, and engagement for the acquisition and implementation of new mandates in Canada
  • Support the implementation of client solutions developed by the national brokerage team
  • Support and provide feedback on the innovation of our standardized offerings to the market

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in collective benefits
  • Experience in a direct client-facing role; demonstrated success in this context is an important asset
  • High level of social and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, in French and English, with the ability to explain complex subjects to a non-specialist audience
  • University degree or equivalent experience in collective insurance and/or benefits consulting
  • Strong adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, changing deadlines, and demanding stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date on industry trends and provincial and federal legislative changes
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of collective benefits
  • Personal insurance license (LLQP) required
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or collaborators based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and/or abroad.
