Your Responsibilities as a Service Assistant Manager

  • Ensure the smooth operation of your department in terms of routine operations, work coordination, cashier balancing, customer service, and any other related tasks;
  • The assistant manager of the service section also performs the regular work of a cashier;
  • Assist the manager in planning and coordinating department activities to achieve the sales and profitability goals set by the director, while respecting the applicable collective agreement;
  • Assist the manager in managing employees. Replace the manager when they are absent;
  • Must be able to make purchases and place orders for department supplies;
  • Must be able to perform inventories of empty bottles, cigarettes, and lottery;
  • Coordinate department activities to ensure that appropriate price changes are made within the prescribed timeframes;
  • Authorize refunds following punch card errors, merchandise returns, etc.;
  • Responsible for collecting cashier deposits and recording data. Must be able to perform cashier, store, vault, and lottery balancing;
  • Must be able to make employee schedules;
  • Ensure the department's business readiness;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, security, etc.) and hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety standards;
  • Participate in employee recruitment, training, and evaluation.
