Join our team as a Transport Infrastructure Construction Surveillance Engineer or Surveyor specializing in bridge and art structures, pavement, electrotechnical, and highway engineering.
Your Work Environment at EXP
In this role, you will be part of the surveillance team within our Transport sector. You will work from our offices in Quebec, Trois-Rivières, or Drummondville and have the opportunity to contribute to construction projects, including those from the Quebec Ministry of Transportation.
What Your Workday at EXP Looks Like
- Conduct construction site surveillance for transport infrastructure (bridges and art structures, pavement) according to client requirements; prepare plans and estimates to ensure that work meets project objectives safely;
- Participate in site meetings and perform qualitative and quantitative quality control of work and its implementation;
- Measure executed works, compile quantities, and prepare documents required for payment requests, as well as write daily reports;
- Coordinate work surveillance with our teams;
- Assist the project manager in managing changes, preparing amendments, and documenting work through memos;
- Write notices;
- Occasionally assist in preparing project plans, estimates, and costings;
- Perform other tasks related to the job.
What Makes You an Asset for EXP
- You hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering;
- You have 3 years of experience in construction site surveillance or implementation of bridge and art structure projects and/or in the field of infrastructure and pavement;
- You are a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
- You have completed the construction site safety course (ASP);
- You have knowledge of the standards and procedures of the Quebec Ministry of Transportation - an asset;
- You hold a Class 5 driver's license and have access to a car;
- You have completed various training courses offered by the Quebec Ministry of Transportation (MTQ) or successfully completed certain MTQ-required training (Construction and repair of structures, STC-201, STC-102) - an asset;
- You can communicate in French both orally and in writing and can communicate in English at a functional level.
