Legal Technician

LEGAL TECHNICIAN — MONTREAL

We are a law firm looking for a dynamic legal technician to join our Montreal office. We are seeking an autonomous, meticulous, and proactive individual who can work closely with our team of lawyers. If you have solid experience in a legal environment and prefer to focus on case support rather than heavy administrative management, Legal Box wants to meet you!

Under the direct supervision of lawyers, the person holding the position will play an active role in preparing cases and following up on procedures:

• Primary Legal Support: drafting, reviewing, and formatting various procedural acts, legal opinions, and correspondence;
• Case Management: tracking cases, preparing supporting documents, and conducting document research as needed;
• Coordination and Signatures: preparing and sending documents for signature to clients and involved parties;
• Occasional Support: answering calls and occasionally scheduling meetings with clients.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Legal techniques training (DEC) or equivalent experience in a legal environment;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and a case management software (knowledge of Clio is an asset);
• Meticulousness, concern for precision and presentation of work;
• Discretion, professionalism, and willingness to occasionally interact with the client base.

JOB DETAILS

• Work Location: Montreal.
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Salary: Starting at $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
