We are looking for a Functional Analyst Guidewire PolicyCenter to join our team of advisors at our Montreal office.

This position is hybrid.

TASKS

The Functional Analyst Guidewire PolicyCenter will contribute to the analysis, design, and evolution of application solutions related to insurance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and formalize business needs related to insurance claims processes, including policy management, claims handling, and billing.
  • Translate operational requirements into structured functional specifications to support the implementation and evolution of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions.
  • Participate in the functional design of platform modules in collaboration with development teams and application architects.
  • Define and document business rules, data flows, integration scenarios, and system dependencies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support the configuration, evolution, and integration of application components within the existing technological ecosystem.
  • Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, backlog management, user story writing).
  • Participate in functional validation strategies, including test preparation and execution, as well as support for user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Document operational processes, functional architectures, and application interfaces.
  • Identify process optimization opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of digital solutions and delivery practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in functional analysis or business analysis within corporate technological environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform in the context of configuring, integrating, or evolving solutions on the PolicyCenter module.
  • Good understanding of operational processes related to property and casualty (P&C) insurance.
  • Experience in analyzing and documenting application integrations, including the use of APIs and data exchange between systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams composed of analysts, developers, architects, and technology partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to structure information, and produce clear functional documentation.
