As a Cost Controller working within the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in significantly contributing to the management control of our projects. By supporting our work on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will analyze and develop budgets and best practices regarding project opportunities and help project teams make informed financial and commercial decisions.
What you will do
- Disseminate, explain, and monitor compliance with management methods.
- Maintain constant contact with our field, procurement, and accounting teams to ensure precise allocation of expenses.
- Develop and validate budget summaries, ensuring the consistency of data and accurate assumptions.
- Ensure the reliability of results, focusing on expenses, billing discrepancies, and operational issues.
- Supervise financial reports, general entity expenses, and compliance with contracts and risk considerations.
- Provide advice to the administrative and financial director and project management.
- Respond to analysis requests, direct studies, and facilitate training on management systems.
- Supervise clerks responsible for the daily collection and entry of information.
- This position is for you if you have
- Bachelor's degree in management or a related engineering field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
- Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks, good listening skills, and synthesis capabilities.
