Job Responsibilities

Working within the operational improvement team, the project manager will be responsible for managing projects required to achieve the company's strategic plan, from conception to qualification. They will be responsible for coordinating financial and human resources to meet deliverables.

More specifically, the project manager's mandate includes the following challenges:

  • Develop project plans by establishing schedules, evaluating resources, and assessing costs required for project completion;
  • Conduct design reviews with the team and ensure that technical requirements are met;
  • Coordinate project activities with various departments (engineering, design, maintenance, industrial engineering, and production) for project completion and monitor progress as a team;
  • Ensure the safety of equipment;
  • Participate in the development of new products, processes, and business procedures;
  • Provide technical support in their area of expertise for strategic projects and the company's operational requirements;
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities that allow the company to achieve its strategic plan;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
  • Relevant experience of 5 to 7 years as a project manager
  • Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of a 3D design software such as SolidWorks
  • Bilingualism (French-English) spoken and written is essential
  • PMP certification would be an asset
