You will advise and support our Canadian site (City of Ste Foy) on health, safety, and environmental matters. You will work closely with site managers, engineers, operations teams, and your colleagues across the company to prevent incidents, reduce risks, and ensure the safety of all. Responsibilities

This role will offer you the opportunity to lead key activities to advance your career. In this role, you will be called upon to:

• Maintain and improve the site's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with Canadian and Quebec laws and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and industrial hygiene controls. Recommend corrective measures and follow up on their implementation.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
• Design and deliver HSE training and awareness activities, clear and practical, for operators, contractors, and site teams.
• Provide HSE expertise in the context of projects, process changes, and commissioning activities to ensure the safety of designs and operational transfers.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date regulatory files, internal reports, and site HSE performance indicators.

Required Skills

We are looking for professionals with the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, health and safety, environmental sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in health, safety, and environment (HSE) in a manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective measure management.
• Knowledge of Canadian and Quebec regulations on health, safety, and environment, as well as industry best practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in French. English proficiency is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience in preparing clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Desired Qualifications

The following qualifications would be an asset

• Certification such as NEBOSH, CRSP/CRST, CSP, or any other equivalent Canadian certification in health and safety.
• Experience in chemical process safety, industrial hygiene monitoring, or process safety management.
• Experience in supporting investment projects, change control management, and HSE design reviews.
• Experience in conducting HSE training, coordinating emergency exercises, or leading intervention teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence operations and implement measurable HSE improvements.
• Experience in management in a unionized environment will be considered an asset.
