As a driller on the civil engineering & infrastructure team at Pomerleau, you will work closely with all workers to ensure the coordination of work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will have the opportunity to support the qualified team and help complete the work according to specifications.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and perform drilling operations, as well as assemble, disassemble, and transport drilling equipment and materials;
• Establish and determine the areas to be blasted according to the established plans;
• Operate equipment in compliance with safety rules;
• Ensure the proper functioning of pumps;
• Inspect blasting sites before and after operations to assess conditions and results;
• Work as a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting work environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on the job site;
• Perform regular maintenance of blasting and drilling equipment;
• Perform any other tasks related to operations.

This Role Is For You If You Have

• A valid CCQ occupational card
• An ASP Construction & SIMDUT 201 card
• A valid driver's license – Class 5
• A general explosives permit
• DEP in blasting or drilling
