Senior EDI/B2B Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

CGI is seeking an experienced Principal Business Systems Analyst to support business critical EDI/B2B integration and logistics platforms for a large international organization. The role combines business and functional analysis, application support, EDI/B2B integration, incident management, and stakeholder coordination.

The successful candidate will work closely with business teams, IT teams, developers, architects, vendors, warehouses, customers, and external trading partners. A key initial priority will be to complete knowledge transfer and help establish a sustainable operational support model.

Key Responsibilities

Provide functional and technical support for EDI/B2B integration and logistics applications.

Investigate and resolve missing, rejected, delayed, or incorrect EDI transactions.

Analyze data, mapping, interface, transmission, and business process issues.

Gather and document business and functional requirements.

Coordinate solution design and issue resolution with business teams, developers, architects, vendors, and external partners.

Support testing, business validation, deployment, and post production activities.

Support customer, warehouse, and trading partner onboarding.

Coordinate production incidents and ensure appropriate follow up through resolution.

Maintain support procedures, troubleshooting guides, escalation paths, and operational documentation.

Contribute to establishing and improving a sustainable BAU application support model.

Potentially provide functional support for additional commercial and logistics platforms.

Required Experience

Significant experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, Integration Analyst, or Application Support Lead.

Strong experience with EDI and/or B2B integrations.

Experience supporting business critical production applications.

Good knowledge of logistics, supply chain, warehouse, shipment, or order management processes.

Experience investigating integration, data, mapping, and interface issues.

Experience coordinating incidents across business, IT, vendors, and external partners.

Strong requirements analysis, documentation, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with some of the following would be considered an asset

• OpenText Trading Grid / OpenText Business Network or another B2B/VAN platform
• SAP, particularly Order to Cash, logistics, shipment, or warehouse processes
• EDI mapping and transactions such as 856/ASN, 940, 945, or 861
• FTP/SFTP, XML, CSV, APIs, and middleware integrations
• Customer, warehouse, or trading partner onboarding
• Third party logistics providers (3PL), carriers, or warehouses
• Azure DevOps
• Anaplan, FourKites, Power BI, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Managed services and problem/root cause management
• Industrial, manufacturing, mining, or complex supply chain environments

Autonomy and judgement – able to operate independently and escalate when appropriate.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The priority is a senior Business Systems Analyst with strong EDI/B2B integration experience, combined with production support and logistics/supply chain knowledge.

Specific platform expertise such as OpenText, Anaplan, FourKites, or Power BI is valuable but not mandatory. The ability to understand the business context, troubleshoot integration issues, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and take ownership of operational support is more important.
