Description

As a fund manager, Desjardins Capital partners with investors to create entrepreneurial wealth and contribute to collective prosperity. For over 50 years, Desjardins Capital has provided customized support to businesses to support the socio-economic development of Quebec, with over $3 billion in assets under management and a portfolio of nearly 700 partner companies. As a Senior Financial Due Diligence Advisor, you will play a key role in evaluating new investments and reinvestments in growing companies from diverse sectors. Through your financial analyses and modeling, you will help illuminate investment decisions, identify value creation levers, and support companies in their evolution. Your in-depth understanding of their financial performance and operations will enable you to make concrete observations and recommendations, and remain involved in post-transaction follow-up to support the implementation of top priorities. More specifically, you will be tasked with:

  • Ensuring sound decision-making by ensuring that the analyzed financial information is accurate, relevant, and complete. Determine a procedure and methodology adapted to the particularities of each file and the amount of the investment, then examine the operations and controls of the company under study
  • Design robust financial models to assess the performance, outlook, and key value levers of companies
  • Analyze historical and interim results as well as the financial situation of companies. Assess the realism of their financial forecasts, test them, and adjust them as needed to support an informed investment decision
  • Assess the capacity and practices of the company's financial team, then present clear and useful findings to the decision. Depending on the importance of the file, recommend concrete measures regarding points of concern, define post-investment follow-up priorities, and write the financial analysis section of the executive report
  • Act as a partner-advisor to companies to improve the quality and presentation of their financial information as well as to evolve their accounting policies and practices
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the field, stay up-to-date on changes and trends in due diligence, then translate them into concrete improvements to current practices and policies. Share your knowledge with other employees to contribute to the development of collective expertise.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence into analyses to increase their depth, efficiency, and the value of our expertise.
