As a director, you will work for the digital sector of television. You will be responsible for producing original content (interviews, studio visits, exclusives) to highlight our programming and showcase our shows and series. In your role, you will collaborate with editorial, production, media creativity, programming, communication, and promotion and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce video content for television programming and events;
- Plan, script, and conduct dynamic interviews with artists, craftspeople, and guests from the programming;
- Ensure video coverage on filming sets;
- Propose creative ways to showcase content and have a sense of format;
- Perform simple edits using digital codes and social media platforms;
- Process photos;
- Select impactful clips from shows;
- Participate in brainstorming, meet group needs, and contribute to the production schedule;
- Understand the codes of different platforms by following trends;
- Have a strategic vision in line with the established objectives in collaboration with the concerned teams;
- Analyze results, make recommendations, and adapt the strategy;
- Protect the brand's interests.
This position is a combination of remote work and office presence. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers according to guidelines determined by the sector.
Your Profile:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
- Three (3) years of relevant video production experience.
Skills
- Interest and good knowledge of the television industry and its 'star system';
- Sharp sense of communication for directing the set;
- Strong relational skills, diplomacy, and ability to interact in a structured manner with public figures and television production teams;
- Relevant experience in video filming;
- Very good ability to use video material processing tools;
- Ability to quickly learn different tools (CMS and internal video processing tools);
- Good written French;
- Sense of format and relevant codes for digital content;
- Attention to detail and rigor;
- Ability to work autonomously in the field and demonstrate initiative;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Good adaptability and priority management;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to understand user behavior and propose impactful digital formats;
- Ability to conduct trend monitoring and make recommendations;
- Comfortable with creating visual content using Adobe Express;
- Good knowledge of Radio-Canada's guidelines.
Selected candidates will be subject to
- French test;
- Interview.
