Purchasing Manager

Under the supervision of the general management, the Purchasing Manager ensures the supply of the following departments: school supplies, stationery, customizable and sportswear, computer equipment, art materials, confectionery and snacks.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers;
• Set selling prices;
• Keep the product management software up to date;
• Conduct competitive intelligence;
• Manage in-store promotions;
• Make suggestions on merchandising;
• Collaborate with colleagues from other departments;
• All other related tasks.
• Main Work Areas of the Purchasing Manager
• 1. Manage the Procurement Sector
• Ensure the supply of the right products at the right price to achieve the Coop's profitability goals*
• Search for and recommend new products based on trends;
• Collaborate with sales advisors to offer relevant products to the clientele;
• Negotiate purchase terms with suppliers;
• Determine the selling price;
• Manage product sheets and inventory;
• Ensure price management, timely product supply, and competitive intelligence;
• Perform merchandise reception;
• Respond to submission requests from the academic community;
• Coordinate billing and payment of invoices with the accounting department.
• 2. Serve and Loyalize the Customer
• Contribute to making the Coop a relevant and indispensable place for the academic community*
• Establish a privileged contact with teaching staff to offer products that adequately meet their needs and those of their students;
• Supervise the commercial space layout to make it attractive;
• Ensure the training of sales advisors on new products;
• Manage promotions and special offers;
• Respond to customer questions in the store;
• Supervise the smooth running of the school entry periods.
• Required Skills

Negotiation skills, proficiency in oral and written French, work organization, ease of using technological tools, teamwork, customer service.
