Under the direction of the deputy director of studies at SPDP, the educational advisor works with teachers, departments, and program committees in the implementation and management of programs. They play an important role in the development and animation of the College's pedagogical life.

CHARACTERISTIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The person is responsible for achieving objectives, policies, and programs defined by the College according to the standards set for the results to be achieved. They advise teaching staff and managerial staff on the evaluation of needs, setting objectives, developing policies, and in the development and adaptation of projects related to teaching programs and general pedagogical practice.

The educational advisor participates in the work of program committees. In this capacity, they are called upon to participate in the elaboration, implementation, continuous evaluation, and updating of teaching programs.

They keep informed of research, changes, and innovations in the pedagogical field, particularly concerning programs and pedagogical methods, complementary activities, textbooks and other didactic materials, and the evaluation of learning. They ensure the implementation of pedagogical innovations, on an experimental basis or otherwise. They inform the environment of the requirements of evolution in their field and engage it in a continuous process of evaluation. They have a primary role in pedagogical animation among teaching staff.

Required Qualifications

Hold a university degree in a field of specialization appropriate to the position, particularly in pedagogy or education sciences.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Hold teaching experience (asset);
• Proficiency in the use of computers for data processing and analysis of quantitative or qualitative data;
• Knowledge of the collegial environment, the regulatory environment of the collegial, and the competence-based approach;
• Relationship skills;
• Proficiency and quality of language both orally and in writing;
• Rigor and critical thinking;
• Political sense and diplomacy;
• Analytical and synthesis skills;
• Ability to mobilize and animate teams of teachers;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Ability to work on multiple files at the same time.
