Your Work Environment at EXP

In this role, you will be part of the

Monitoring team in our

Transportation sector. You will work from our offices in

Quebec, Trois-Rivières, or Drummondville and have the opportunity to contribute to construction projects, including those of the Ministry of Transportation of Quebec.

What Your Workdays at EXP Entail

  • Perform construction monitoring on transportation infrastructure (bridges and art works, pavement, and electrotechnical) according to the Client's requirements; prepare plans and estimates to ensure that the work meets the project objectives safely;
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative quality control of the work and their implementation;
  • Measure the executed works, compile quantities, and prepare the documents required for payment requests as well as write daily reports;
  • Occasionally participate in the realization and design of transportation projects by collaborating with the team of technicians and professionals;
  • Occasionally assist in the preparation of plans, estimates, and project bids;
  • Any other tasks related to the position.

What Makes You an Asset for EXP

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 0 to 3 years of professional experience in the field of transportation infrastructure;
  • You have experience in construction monitoring or work execution on bridges and art works and/or in the field of infrastructure and pavements;
  • You are a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec as an engineer or CPI;
  • You have your construction safety course (ASP);
  • You have knowledge of the norms and procedures of the Ministry of Transportation of Quebec – an asset;
  • You have taken various training courses offered by the Ministry of Transportation of Quebec (MTQ) or successfully completed some of the training required by the MTQ (Construction and repair of structures, STC-201, STC-102) – an asset;
  • You hold a Class 5 driver's license and have access to a car;
  • You can communicate in French both orally and in writing and can communicate in English at a functional level.
