About the role
Join Danone Canada as our Canadian Tax Manager and play a key and visible role at the intersection of tax, finance, operations, and global strategy.
Based in our Boucherville office and reporting to the Head of Tax for North America, this is an ideal opportunity for a tax professional who appreciates both technical depth and practical business partnership. You will work on Canadian corporate tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, tax audits, tax planning, and tax credits, while collaborating with colleagues in Canada, the U.S., and global teams.
Corporate Income Tax
- Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations, track tax attributes, and perform tax account reconciliations.
- Supervise the preparation and production of income tax returns, including Pillar Two and cross-border reporting obligations.
- Manage monthly tax installment payments.
- Coordinate with external service providers on tax filings and related projects.
Indirect Taxes
- With the support of the team, manage the monthly preparation and reconciliation of GST/HST returns.
Tax Planning and Strategy
- Manage federal and provincial tax credits and incentives.
- Perform forecasting and scenario modeling related to taxable income, effective tax rate impacts, restructurings, and legislative changes.
- Serve as an internal tax expert and advisor on Canadian tax rules and emerging trends.
Tax Audits
- Manage information gathering, document production, and responses to tax authorities and government agencies.
- Develop defense files to mitigate potential audit risks.
Transfer Pricing
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of global transfer pricing policies and intercompany pricing frameworks to ensure compliance.
- Participate in the preparation of global transfer pricing documentation, including the master file, local files, country reports, and country-by-country reporting (CbCR), while monitoring global developments such as the OECD's Pillar Two and BEPS-related rules.
- Draft, update, and maintain intercompany agreements.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business, accounting, legal, treasury, and other key stakeholders.
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $145,000.00 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity, and external market conditions.

About you
- You demonstrate curiosity, judgment, and a collaborative spirit. You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- You have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and are ready to apply your tax expertise to a role offering significant business exposure, ideally with experience gained in a national or international accounting firm as well as within a multinational corporate tax department.
- A CPA title or other professional certification is an asset, but not required.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, and are able to make complex Canadian tax concepts understandable and applicable for non-tax or international stakeholders.
- You enjoy a role combining autonomy, responsibility, and collaboration, based in Boucherville while working with colleagues remotely across North America and the world.
- You are organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- You have excellent Excel skills; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Bilingual French and English (oral and written) is mandatory. Bilingualism is required for this position, as it requires frequent communication with our business units, plants, and business partners located outside Quebec.
