The internship must be part of your study program or be one of the conditions required for admission to a professional order.
The positions are to be filled at the Courthouse of Saint-Jérôme.
The internship is scheduled for the winter 2027 study session.
The person holding the position must work in a purely in-person mode.
Daily tasks
In collaboration with the team members, you will provide judicial support to the court by offering effective support to the courts during the conduct of hearings in civil, criminal, penal, or youth matters, including courtrooms with high volume. You will also perform various tasks in support of the magistrate and the client in the coordination of the activities to ensure the continuation of the judicial file processing. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the preparation for the hearing and follow-up of the hearing;
- Contribute to covering the assignments to the Court in support of the legal technician;
- Analyze files before they are placed on the docket to ensure that all necessary procedures are produced and comply with the Code of Procedure, rules of practice, and the judge's directives;
- Assist the judge in the conduct of the hearing;
- Ensure logistical support for the hearing (SEN, videoconferencing, etc.);
- Analyze the court's decisions and draft all official documents resulting from these decisions;
- Record information from the hearing (verbatim, orders, piece marking, role annotation, etc.).

The minimum hourly rate is $24.04. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.
The duration of the internship and the number of hours per week are determined according to the pedagogical context of the study program, through the internship agreement.

- Good communication skills both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
- Motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn;
- No experience is required.
Essentials
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada. If you hold a work, study, or letter of status, you must submit the document to your online application file.
- Be enrolled full-time in a study program* for the winter 2027 session in the following field of study and within which an internship agreement defining the terms of the internship can be concluded:

- Be at least 16 years old on June 30 of the year of your enrollment in the student employment offer;
- Have appropriate French language skills for the position's duties.
- *Recognized by the Minister of Education or the Minister of Higher Education in a Quebec educational institution or recognized by the competent authority of the place of study, provided that the person is domiciled in Quebec.*
Other employment requirements: Hiring is conditional upon the results of a security check.
