What do Primary Underwriters - Small Business - New Business at Northbridge do?

Our primary underwriters provide comprehensive solutions to small businesses across Canada. They work closely with a diverse range of partner brokers to thoroughly assess each risk, making informed underwriting decisions for all parties involved. They maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and love leveraging their strong technical skills to ensure risks are properly evaluated.

While they are already experts in their field, Northbridge supports their growth and development. Additionally, within a collaborative team, they provide coaching, mentoring, and development to less experienced underwriters.

You excel in the following

• Underwriting small business insurance policies.
• Solving problems and demonstrating critical thinking.
• Building relationships with brokers.
• Working effectively in a dynamic environment where things move quickly.
• Contributing to the development of others through coaching and mentoring.

You have the following

• At least five years of experience in commercial property insurance.
• PAA designation obtained or in the process of obtaining (an asset).
• Notable customer service experience.
• Team spirit.
• Small business experience (an asset).
